The Sea- and Landscapes evoke a longing in me which is timeless, a memory. Is it a longing to travel, of memories or of journeys to come?
I have been drawn especially to the sea, because here the transience of things is the most obvious if one thinks of the footprints in the sand which are washed away by the next wave swishing to its end in the sand.
The same applies to my paintings where this transience is also apparent. For that reason the paintings do not tell the apparent obvious, but the stories behind the natural phenomena.
